                My identity is very important to me because this is what makes me, me. Identity is the components that make you who you are such as your personality. My identity is important to me because it shows what kind of person I am, it shows people where I came from and it is everyone’s first impression of me. I love showing my Identity in many ways but my favorite is through my family. I love them so much and would do anything for them because they took care of me and made sure I had a great childhood.

                Identity is made up of many components such as your personality, race, religion, family, profession, language, gender and your financial class. Every one of these components tell a little bit about the person. This is why Identity is so very important today. In the beginning of the passage the dentist says, “If you want to be American speak American. If you don’t like it go back to Mexico where you belong.”(Web 1). This quote shows us the identity of the dentist and the aggression that he has.

                One of the most important parts about identity to me is that the first impression shows people where I came from. Me personally I love for people to know where I came from and for people to see how I’m doing now. Where I come from there is little to no hope of going to college or even leaving that town.
